Richardson Kiwanis has been serving the community for over 40 years. We plan sports events for kids who have cognitive or physical difficulties. We’ve built over 1000 wheelchair ramps over the years. We provide backpacks full of supplies to people who have lost their homes due to natural disasters. We help host district-wide events and provide reading material to kids in elementary schools. Bring your ideas for service and join us one Friday morning at Darrin’s Grill in Richardson (Outlook and Jupiter). We are always looking for new ways to serve our community! You can also contact us at RichardsonKiwanis@gmail.com.
Kids are curious, lovable and hilarious. They are also wild, impatient and vulnerable. Kiwanis is looking out for kids in every corner of the globe with more than 550,000 volunteers who serve their communities through local clubs.
Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.
Why become a member?
Strength in numbers. Working together with others increases the likelihood of success. The Richardson Kiwanis Club is an active group of community volunteers who provide services and guidance to children in the Richardson and North Dallas community through programs like Key Clubs, K Kids, and the Richardson Angels Sports teams. Richardson Kiwanis is also a part of a huge program for building wheelchair ramps at homes belonging to financially disadvantaged and elderly people in our city and county. Our Kiwanis Club is a great organization and we would love to have you visit with us to see what we are all about!
